The ferry ride to Peaks Island is a fantastic treat and so easy to accomplish. The island is a jewel in itself and very walkable. The 5th Maine Museum is a short walk from the dock. It doesn't take more than an hour to soak up all of the history of the museum. The view of the water from the museum is fantastic too.
